A Vintage Affair at Ansty Hall...

Although we are regulars in the Orangery at Ansty Hall Hotel in Coventry (as you will now if you read last Friday's blog!), we have never seen it decked out quite as it was last night...

Gorgeous vintage table settings

We were greeted by a thoroughly vintage scene: from lace bunting and chair bows to a retro suitcase featuring a "Just Married" sign. Candles, hand-tied bouquets and chic little cups and saucers... The Orangery looked stunning.

The couple had thought about so many little touches

The bride and groom looked equally amazing with Sarah modelling a vintage ivory lace gown (in keeping with her theme of course) and Gary wearing a particularly dapper and dashing pinstripe suit with waistcoat (I think Adam had his eye on this... He's one for a nice suit himself you know!)

Check out Mr Suave!

The newlyweds had decided to have their speeches at the beginning of their evening reception and so, once the groom and best man had said their bits and the ’thank yous’ had been done, the happy couple cut their wedding cake and took to the floor for their first dance: At Last by Etta James

A beautiful first dance to Etta James

Their bridal party and guests joined them on the dancefloor for Adam's first live set of swing, Michael Bublé and Rat Pack classics...

Act 1: Swing, Rat Pack and Buble

and the new Mrs Chamberlain even led the New York, New York kick line with her female guests in tow!

The bride and her 'girls' on the dancefloor

As you can see, Adam's not one to be out done though!!

Adam's kicks are getting higher and higher!

After the guests had tucked into a well-earned buffet, they regrouped on the dancefloor for Act 2! This time Adam was joined on stage by his Souljers and the audience lapped up the mix of soul, Motown and pop music... Most even joining in with the choreography too! Can you spot the groom in this quick clip? ;)

After the beautiful bride had danced her last dances, after Adam had finally had a cuddle from their little girl and after the exceptionally lovely groom had gushed about the show and showered us with wonderful compliments (he was so sweet!), Sarah and Gary left among lots of smiling guests with signed photoframes in hand and a beautiful 10 month old baby girl in their arms... What a lucky couple! We wish you all the luck in the world guys and many happy years together :) x x x

One Snowy Friday in February...

Last night's wedding took place at the Macdonald Ansty Hall in Coventry - a beautiful venue that we perform at a lot and really, really love. With a sprinkling of snow and lots of lovely guests, Lori and James had their perfect wintery wedding :)

Their Personalised Photo Frame

The evening reception took place in the Orangery and the happy couple were so excited about the live shows... a chance to finally let their hair down! Lori had initially wanted to surprise James by booking Adam Thomas and the Souljers but, eventually, she gave in and told him anyway!

Lori's beautiful bridal bouquet

The scene was set for a fantastic evening and, a little after 8pm, their guests gathered around the edge of the dancefloor for the final formality of the day: the first dance!

A first dance to Sigur Ros

They had an enchanting and very unique first dance choice (Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla) which really created a lovely mood for the beginning of the first live set as well.

Adam kicks off the first set of live entertainment

Act 1 saw their guests singing along to That's Amore, dancing to Save The Last Dance and high-kicking to New York, New York... in fact, even the bride joined the kick line!

After tucking in to the buffet, guests were treated to a second live set by Adam Thomas and the Souljers: particular favourites seemed to be Brown Eyed Girl, This Love and floor-filler Kissed A Girl.

During the first live set, Adam had gained a special little fan...

Adam and his side kick!...

and , whilst we rocked the Orangery with the second set, he became a mini Souljer! This little dude copied every move we did and even got to wear Adam's glasses and Tom's hat!

Adam and Mini Me!

After a bit of 90's dance music and a chance for the male guests to show off their dance skills, the groom finally got his Madness fix and a jump around!

I'm guessing that Lori, James and their entourage are just as shattered as we are this morning... the only difference is that the lucky couple are jetting off to Paris as we speak! It's alright for some! :)

Pop over to our Facebook Fan page for more pictures of their big day too (and don't forget to press 'like' whilst you're there!)

Finally, we want to wish you both all of the luck in the world: have a great honeymoon and a great future together :) x x x

Debbie and Mark's Big Day at McDonald Ansty Hall

I had met Debbie and Mark so many times at various wedding fayres that I had almost forgotten that they were one of our wedding couples - they felt more like old friends!

'Unconventional' would be the word that best describes the finishing touches that this dynamic duo sprinkled over their wedding day at the wonderful McDonald Ansty Hall... Mark even arrived for his nuptials by helicopter! Show off! :)

Amazed by Lonestar Performed Live by Adam Thomas

Amazed by Adam Thomas

As I've said before, every wedding is unique and, other than the helicopter, the other thing that stood out for me was their choice of second dance: following on from Adam's live performance of Amazed (Lonestar) the bride's colleagues (fellow school staff) were ordered to join the lovely Debbie in a rendition of... (drum roll please)... the Birdie Song! What a way to break the ice! (Watch the video below and join in!!)

Michael Buble, Hey Ya and Swinging!

When it came to the rest of their wedding entertainment, Adam's live performances kicked off with a little bit of Michael Buble and swing followed by a full-on Pop and Soul second set for dancing. Once again this was slightly adapted to include a few of the numbers that we've been performing in our brand new Soul show: Forget You (Cee Lo Green) and Hey Ya (Outkast)... Both were well received as always with lots of shimmying and shaking being done by all ;)

The atmosphere was fantastic (you would never have believed it was a Sunday night!) The dance floor was full all night long with the wedding party jigging away to everything from Take That (Debbie is a mahoosive Take That-ite!) to Amy Winehouse, Erasure to Scissor Sisters... There's nothing better than a couple with an eclectic taste!

A beautiful day weather-wise was rounded off with a barbeque plus a wonderful evening entertainment-wise. Here's to Debbie & Mark, all the very best guys... Congratulations! :) x x x
